Sarah Hunter

 

   I graduated from PAFA in 2005 with a Certificate in Painting and a focus on narrative still lives. My current body of work explores history of place. Using graphite as my primary medium, I am examining the natural and architectural life of Philadelphia. I have been using images sourced from YouTube video stills, Google map street view, and various archives to think about how narratives are visually propelled or erased over time, and what that may tell us about the priorities of the City.
